Christmas

T'was the week before Christmas, as we headed out, to see our family up north... Okay enough of that, it would take me all night to rhyme this whole thing!
We got to go visit Chris' family in Idaho the week before Christmas,
we love going to visit our Idaho family...
Especially Dempsey
Especially Dempsey when they close the freeway down creating a 3 hour delay
So needless to say the drive up was rather stressful, and we were all happy to arrive!
Every year growing up my amazing mother made each of her seven daughters matching Christmas dresses. So I decided to make (or to attempt) Dempsey's Christmas dress.
Let's just say I barely finished it, (mostly thanks to my mom) and in the process I learned how much I took for granted our Christmas dresses every year. I remember going to sleep everynight through the months of Nov. thru Dec. listening to the hum of my mom's sewing machine. My amazing mother dear gave so much hard work and sacrifice so that we could all have new Christmas (and Easter) dresses. This might not sound like alot, but after making 1 Christmas dress, I am so filled of gratitude for my mom, and all she did for me growing up
I Love you mom.
So this is a picture of the finished product. Sorry it's kinda blurry
I took about 400 pictures in Idaho but their all on my mother-in-law's camera so
when I get them I'll post some.
We came home Christmas Eve
Dempsey loved Christmas morning, she loved her toys, it was so cute to watch her play with them. She loved eating the wrapping paper too!

We are so blessed to have such wonderful family
and friends to share the holiday with. We have so much many wonderful blessings.
We are so grateful for the gospel
and for our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas!

Sweet Caroline

Friday Night,
my sweetie pie surprised me with tickets to my DREAM concert!
The one and only Neil Diamond.....
And it was, hands down, the best concert I've ever been to
Even though we were the youngest people in the Delta Center,
and even though the man is like 80 years old,
and even though we were at the very tip top, with a birds eye view......
It was amazing!
When we first got there and saw that the place was totally packed and Chris was like, " I can't believe how many people are here." But after it was over it was easy to see why. He can still shake it (while playing his guitar!). It was two hours of all his hits, and some newbies, but it flew by way too fast. Heaven. I'm so lucky to have such a thoughful husband. He takes care of me.

It's That time of Year........

.....FAMILY picture time that is. They always stress me out so much!!! We found an awesome photographer, Ashlee Raubach; whom I highly recommend. {Beautiful Girl}
This was me comforting Dempsey right after she fell off a chair onto the ground. What kind of mother puts her daughter on a chair when she know the daughter can't sit on a chair by herself, and will try to crawl off, thus falling off onto the rocky ground? All for the sake of a cute picture....priorities.

They turned out pretty cute
I'm pretty glad their over with
Dempsey looked really pretty even though she wouldn't smile

We're on the Move

We are officially mobile, Dempsey took her first wobbly crawl A week and a half ago! She was only 5 and a half months old, and it was pretty much the cutest thing we've ever seen!

And now she is pulling herself up to things, then letting go because she forgets that she can't stand up by herself. She is such a strong little thing; but even more, she is so strong-willed.

It's pretty cute though because she is still pretty little so it looks funny because she doesn't look old enough to be able to do these things yet, so cute!

I just want to bite those little cheeks off!

We love you baby girl

Halloween 2008

Halloween Pedicure

Cutest Bumble Bee Ever!
Dempsey wasn't too fond of her costume, so we put it on to go see the great-grandparents and then for a little bit of Trick-or-Treating, but then she decided she was done with it.

Her favorite part of the whole night was helping her Aunts sort out all their candy. She had a ball! She kept crawling around in the candy, picking it up, sucking on it, then picking a new one. Thank goodness she has such awesome Aunts who let her slobber all over their candy!

The Pumpkin Patch

We traveled down south a bit to Santaquin, to visit the Big Red Barn
where
they have an awesome Pumpkin Patch
First we ride a modern day horse drawn wagon (tractor)
through the country to the pumpkin patch Then we try to get some pictures of Dempsey in the Pumpkin Patch We try to get the perfect lighting as the sun is setting over the valley..Now we are attempting to capture a her sweet little face.....
Ok so just a little look or glance towards us, not even a smile....
I guess we'll settle for her eating the weeds After our very successful photoshoot, we seek out the perfect pumpkin
Elisse holding my perfect pumpkinWe love Auntie Elisse and are so glad she came with usChris and Elisse made a new friend
Our trip wouldn't have been complete without sticking our heads
in the wooden pumpkin pictures.
We had a great time at the big red barn and will for sure be back next year!
