Four

Someone at our house had a birthday and turned

Four!!

Here is a year in pictures of our sweet baby girl

She conquered swim lessons this last year which
was a big achievment for her, she didnt use to like the pool

She loves to read books or
    pretend to read books

"Tangled Hair"
She brought me a long piece of toilet paper and a
clip and told me she wanted "tangled hair"
It kept breaking off so we put a piece of lace in next
and finally for christmas she got the "real thing"

She is a girly girl and love painting her nails,
makeup, princesses, and mostly everyday wearing dresses

This was her first field trip at school
we went to the pumpkin patch  and loved playing in the corn pit
Hayride
Nothing quite beats taking a bath in the sink,
especially at grandmas

First Day of School Picture
We went out on the porch to take some pics
and this was the pose she wanted.

Silly girl loves taking silly pictures

Sweet little girl

Putting her new ornament on the Christmas Tree

Such a happy girl, she keeps us entertained
with her spunky little personality

She is the BEST older sister!
She loves her brother so much and yesterday she told
me he is her best friend!
Watching them play together is so much fun,
of course they have plenty of "moments" but
I guess thats just part of having a sibling.
She is also a very caring little girl. I am always amazed
at how aware she is of other people and concerned
of their feelings. She is great a cheering people up and helping
people to feel better.

Loungin on the couch
She Loves her Daddy
and spending as much time with him as possible

A Daddy-Daughter Date
She was especially excited because
she got to put on her bright pink lipstick!

She loves the snow!
This winter was kinda weak and we only had a few good
snowdays. This was one of the few and her and dad
made a baby snowman
Our sweet DoodleBug

We love you so much and can't imagine life without
you!! These past four years have been the best ever and
we have loved watching you grow in to a beautiful little girl
with a beautiful spirit. It's amazing to watch you kids become such
amazing people even at the ripe age of 4! We love you baby girl!!

Hunting Eggs

We love eggs
And their hunters

The Easter Bunny made it to our house this year
and the kids were so into it

they both loved finding the eggs and their baskets
and we loved watching them

D was so sweet to help her little brother find the eggs
and K was more excited to eat what was in the eggs

Sunday Best
My favorite tradition about Easter is new Sunday clothes
My mom used to sew all 7 of us a new dress
and I barely put together 2

Happy Easter

Curly Boy

We love this little curly head .

We don't think he could be much cuter.
We get alot of questions as to where it comes from but both
his grandmas and his mom and dad have curly hair.

When he gets tired he twirls the hair around his little finger,
he has done this since he was little little.

I love sleeping pictures of babies

Hideout

While we remodeled we moved into my mom house
which ended up being such a huge help!
We would go over at night to work and it was so nice to have a built in babysitter,
whom my kids absolutely loved, to put them to bed at night.
It was also alot closer to the new house than our apartment which came in handy with the
bajillion trips we made over to the new house.
It was alot of fun.

While we were there this one one of my kids
found a new hideout
The Closet

Everyday Kapp would dump all the shoes into a big pile on the floor
which at first drove me crazy because I would have to put them all back
then I just started leaving them on the floor:)

Why do kids love finding the
 perfect little sitting place?

It all started on top

Our New House

We decided to start with the roof due to a large leak into the kitchen and a bedroom.  The whole thing had to be replaced and we decided to do it ourselves. What were we thinking?!? We have a contractor friend who taught us what to do and helped us order supplies.  And we had family and friends who willingly risked thier lives helping us rip shingles off the roof during a thunderstorm.
Honestly I think this was one of the most difficult projects we undertook, but we learned ALOT! I now consider myself to be a master roofer, I can roof with the best of them! It took us a whole week to finish of working everyday, and made me really grateful we have a fairly simple, not very steep roof!
       Lessons Learned
 1.  Order a giant dumpster before you start so that you can throw all the old shingles in directly            instead of spending the following 2 weeks picking them up and hauling them to the dumpster:)
 2.  Don't rent the nail guns until right before you need them, taking the old roof off might take longer than you think, so this could save you a hundred bucks.

This is the only picture I took of the whole roofing process
Now that we have mastered roofing,
next time I think we will hire someone else...

Firstimers

We have had a rollercoaster of good events these past few months. We are so blessed and were able to purchase our First Home!!  After a few months of searching we found the one, It just needed alittle (or alot) of fixing up.
Official Homeowners!!
We took this picture right after we signed our lives away

Afterwards we had a celebration picnic
in our new backyard

We picked some apples from our new apple tree

And the Adventure began...
Soon to Come
Before/After pictures of the many projects
we conquered,
or are still conquering,
or conquered us....
